As the acting social media coordinator on the executive council at High Point University, I am responsible for informing the student body and members about current events and promoting civic engagement. This involves advocating for conservative politics and emphasizing the First Amendment through the work of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), an American nonprofit organization.
As a semester-long capstone project, I had the privilege to collaborate with my peers to create a lobbying campaign on an issue of our choice. Collectively, we chose to advocate for stricter regulations and potential bans on deadly carcinogenic toxins in our everyday products. With delegating tasks, I worked on the branding, logo, press release, and opinion editorial that reached Washington as well as local North Carolina news desks.
During a major election at High Point University for the next Executive Cabinet, I served as the campaign and public relations manager, overseeing a range of duties. Some of my roles include creative directing hype videos and headshots with student photographers, gaining brand partnerships, and hosting week-long events to promote our campaign and encourage civic engagement on campus.
I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that have allowed me to apply my skills and knowledge in practical settings. From developing marketing campaigns to conducting research and analysis, my work experience has been diverse and enriching. I am confident that these experiences have equipped me with the skills necessary to excel in the role for which I am applying.
