Experimental Neuroscience and Psychology

We developed and employed a novel experimental design for investigating olfactory event-related potentials (OERPs) through the integration of Sniff-Olfactometry (SO) with scalp electroencephalography (EEG). The SO is custom-built to deliver a 70-ms puff of odorant into the participant’s self-initiated inhalation stream, thereby avoiding habituation and adaptation effects on olfactory responses.
