I grew up in a multi-cultural household with strong ties to heritage and community — the kind of upbringing where you learn the right way to set a table before you learn algebra, where tradition isn't nostalgia but instruction. Knowing who I was and where I came from gave me an early, almost inherited sense of intentionality: a belief that how something is done matters as much as whether it gets done at all.

That belief needed somewhere to go, so I chased it. Onstage in musical theatre, playing bluegrass with my family, teaching waltz and salsa on dance floors — performing gave me an education in presence, failure, and the discipline of showing up prepared. It also gave me permission to take craft seriously, wherever I found it: in music and painting and writing, but just as much in the joinery of a well-made chair or the weight of a good knife.

Since 2018, I've traveled to understand language, craft, and culture more directly — the artisanry of Mexico, the natural materials of Denmark, the consistency of French tradition, the storytelling of India. In 2020, that pull culminated in a year fully immersed in Denmark, living inside the language and culture of my own family. It taught me that fluency in anything — a language, a craft, a life — only comes from actually living inside it.

In 2020, that pull culminated in a year fully immersed in Denmark, living inside the language and culture of my own family. I've since worked across industries on purpose: fermentation and winemaking, preschool education, youth ministry, hospitality, music instruction. I tried the conventional route for a while, too. What I kept finding was that the work that felt most like me was never the 9-to-5 — it was the rooms where curiosity, care, and craft actually mattered.

In 2025, I published my first book, The Polymath's Path: I Want to Learn Everything — a guide to interdisciplinary learning, intellectual curiosity, and building a meaningful relationship with knowledge.

The work isn't finished. I'm still extending what I learned in Denmark to the rest of my lineage — German precision, Irish detail, Spanish pattern — because the more fully I understand where I come from, the more fully I get to live in it.
