In August 2022, I started a work experience internship at Layla's Gourmet in Jeddah, KSA.  I go there twice a week and am learning all sorts of new things.

Cappuccino is Served

 I am learning how to make and serve many kinds of coffees and teas.

For instance, I can make American coffee and cappuccinos.  

I am also learning to make Turkish coffee and Saudi Arabian coffee. 

Making Milkshakes

I LOVE chocolate milkshakes.  They are one of my most favorite things to eat EVER.

I am learning how to make my own chocolate milkshakes using vanilla ice cream, milk and chocolate syrup.

Drying & Sorting Utensils

One of our tasks is to take the clean silverware from the dishwasher, dry them, and sort them by size.  

Then we put them in different places in the restaurant where we can easily give them to customers.

Rehearsing Menu Items

Some of the menu items were difficult for me to read (and some were in Arabic), so I had to practice.  

Now I can easily read and say quinoa, parmigiana, fajita, and falafel!
