I was a US Student Research Fulbrighter to Moldova from September 2025 to May 2025. I presented on political science topics, including civil society in the US & the presidential system in the comparative perspective, to a total of approximately 37 students at two American cultural centers in regional cities in Moldova. In addition, I created and administered an American Culture Club for a local university that was designed to teach students about American culture and society. This club included guest speakers, activities, presentations, and a film session. Examples of programming include an indigenous nation guest speaker presentation for Indigenous People's Day, an excursion to observe flowering trees during the national holiday of Martisor & the National Cherry Blossom Festival, as well as candy gift bag creation around Valentines Day. I also gave a presentation on the structure of MA & PhD programs in the United States for students as part of International Education Week (IEW), represented my alma mater at an education fair, and encouraged students to apply for relevant cultural exchange programming offered by the US Embassy in Moldova. Programming deliverables, including photography & a reflective blog post about my community engagement activities can be seen below.
I received Graduate Teaching Assistantship Program (GTAP) Certification through George Washington University in Fall 2020. I TA'd for courses offered in Political Science & International Affairs at George Washington University both online & in-person. I received a mean “Overall TA Assessment” score of 4.37/5, and a “TA Knowledgeable” score of 4.71/5 in student evaluations. I also provided administrative support for graduate level courses and undergraduate courses on Central & Eastern Europe: proctoring film sessions and maintaining student grades.
