Hello! I am a Ph.D. Candidate at the Vancouver School of Economics. I will be available for interviews for the 2023/2024 job market.
My research interests lie in development economics, economic history and political economy with a focus on Africa. In my current research project, I compile and digitize a series of historical documents including missionary atlases, Bible translation sites, pre-missionary linguistic landscapes. I use these documents to shed new light the long-run effects of language standardization, missionary activity and the establishment of schools.
