Surrealism runs in my blood, inspiring me to let my imagination guide my art making like the many wonderful artists in my family. My Great-Grandmother, my Great Aunt, and My Grandmother laid the foundation for the dreams and aspirations I find myself surrounding myself with. My favorite work to make starts in the mind. Conceptual, Absurd, and Experimental, I wholeheartedly want nothing more than to dedicate my entire life to my creativity.
My focus centers around 3D Printing, Digital Editing, Motion Design, and CAD. I have professional standards with File management, Remote and Shared production space maintenance, and I enjoy instructing and tutoring workshops. My art is a reflection of myself and the skills that I have built tirelessly. Software I'm fluent in is primarily the full Adobe Suite, Blender, Fusion 360, Clip Studio, and basic frontend like Javascript and CSS. I have the most experience with SVG editing for both functionable and aesthetic purposes.
BACHELORS OF FINE ARTS
MINOR IN ART HISTORY
Graduating with Highest Honors, my grades were important to me because I enjoy challenging myself. Honors classes has been a constant for me thanks to my commitment towards education.
The communities that were built around my growth inspired me to continue to explore my artistic endeavors. I look forward to seeing more projects and opportunities branch from the great connections I've made along the way.
ASSOCIATES OF ARTS
ART & TECHNOLOGY
New World School of the Arts has brought forward several new tools and opportunities my way. My path split into several facets that all contribute to a wide variety of skills. The experience I gained from working on the field inside and outside of school has transformed my entire professional outlook.
My first gallery exhibition was in 2023 with Rising Stars. I have been featured in about 10 other shows throughout my time with NWSA. It is a privilege to have had such great exposure at such a young point in my artistic career.
ASSOCIATES OF SCIENCE
ART & ANIMATION
MAGIC MDC was my first deep dive into exploring my artistic talent. I began my adventures in 2019 and completed the degree in 2021. I have grown up in a technological renaissance so digital art was a facet from my childhood. It was a magical experience interning with Nickelodeon with our capstone project.
A Lesson in Magic, by Hannah M. Roza, was a leap of faith for my professional future. I aided her as the Producer for the short, so I was just as responsible for bringing her story to life. It was a critical moment, for me, to be able to challenge my organizational skills and push through budgets, scheduling, and massive deadlines.
One of my favorite ways to test my skills are to attend Hackathons! I think that they are a thrill to get to know new people and explore tools that you wouldn't normally use. MLH was the first community I joined, virtually, until I expanded my options to include local and out-of-state events. Art has a place in engineering and I intend on standing tall so that others might follow in my footsteps.
My Relationship
with AI
Humans are complex, taleted, and irrationally perfect. We make great things happen every day, regardless of the tools we use to do so. I will always value my imagination over the effort it takes to ensure trust and commitment in myself as an artist.
I have been using AI since 2023 and began programming in 2022. The toll it takes as a promise to our future is what I tend to measure intently. Figuratively speaking, I prefer to let the machines wash our dishes so we can continue to paint.
FABRICATION
My skills branch outside of the digital space thanks to a great deal of trial and error on my own. Things such as sanding, woodworking, sewing, soldering, and measuring all were secondary to my studies in a digital space. I was determined to bring my work outside of the screen.
The magic of proposing a piece of art and to then watch it come to fruition is euphoric. Just to be able to say that I've had the trust from my mentors to prove myself in this manner is a pride like none other. I love to work through challenges and problem-solve.
GOALS FOR THE FUTURE
I am excited to feel the ins and outs of working as a contemporary artist. It is a dream to follow in the footsteps of my family so that I might, too, make art for a living.
Advisement, Internships, and Appretenceships are all options for my future; but, I hope to complete my Fine Arts studies with a Masters. So far, I am stumbling through the beginnings of a small business for myself as a Fabricator.
I have my home studio to work out of and I couldn't be more grateful for all of the friends and family who have supported me to get to this point. Paying back their kindness is my only financial goal.
