Coastal Canines Pet Services Grooming Policies:
By scheduling an appointment, clients agree to all grooming policies.
One-on-One Grooming
Coastal Canines Pet Services provides a one-on-one grooming experience in a calm, low-stress environment. Each dog is groomed individually to help create a safer and more comfortable experience.
Safety & Comfort First
Your dog’s safety, comfort, and trust always come before achieving a perfect groom. Grooming will only be performed within each dog’s comfort and tolerance level.
If a dog becomes overly stressed, anxious, aggressive, or unsafe during grooming, services may be modified, shortened, or stopped at any time for safety reasons.
This may include:
• Face trimming
• Nail trimming
• Drying
• Scissoring work
• Dematting
• Handling-sensitive areas
Some dogs may go home slightly damp or with unfinished areas if continuing would cause unnecessary stress or create an unsafe situation.
Matting Policy
Matted coats can cause pain, skin irritation, bruising, and discomfort. Severely matted coats may require shaving for humane removal.
Additional de-matting or shave-down fees may apply depending on:
• Coat condition
• Severity of matting
• Time required
• Dog behavior/tolerance
Coastal Canines Pet Services reserves the right to refuse severe de-matting if it is not in the dog’s best interest.
Flea Policy
For the health and safety of all pets in our care and to maintain a clean grooming environment, Coastal Canines Pet Services does not accept dogs with active fleas or flea infestations.
If fleas are discovered during the appointment:
• Grooming services may be stopped immediately
• The appointment may be ended early
• Immediate pickup may be required
• Cleaning/sanitation fees may apply
Please ensure your dog is current on flea prevention prior to their appointment.

Owners must disclose any:
• Medical conditions
• Allergies
• Injuries
• Seizures
• Anxiety
• Aggression history
• Mobility concerns
Vaccination Requirements
All dogs should be current on veterinarian recommended vaccinations.

Arrivals more than 10 minutes late may need to be rescheduled to avoid disrupting other appointments.
