About the Artist:
Hello! My name is Gabby Maresco, and I am a NY based actor, singer, teaching artist, theatre-maker, and writer! As an artist, empathy is at the core of what I do— I am always seeking ways to use theatre and music to tell thought-provoking stories, represent diverse experiences, and uplift and empower future generations.
I recently graduated from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, a Musical Theatre Minor, and a Vocal Performance Certificate. I am currently working as a teaching artist fellow and performer at the Rose Theater in Omaha, Nebraska. At the Rose, you can find me teaching musical theatre classes, co-directing a queer youth theatre troupe "Pride Players", and performing in main stage and touring productions!
Plays, musicals, operas, films, dance pieces, music festivals— I love it all! I believe there is something infinitely valuable in finding the intersections between artistic disciplines and hope to bring these insights into all projects I take on. I’ve studied and performed classical, musical theatre, pop, indie/alternative, rock, jazz, and numerous other styles of music, as well as tackled both dramatic and comedic roles in theatre.
Aside from performance and teaching artistry, I’m both a songwriter and playwright, seeking to share diverse narratives about mental health, and BIPOC and LGBTQ+ experiences. I also love the realm of technical theater, specifically that of Costuming, Wardrobe Management, and Online Arts Administration via social media and graphic design. You can also find me on Tik Tok as a cosplay/lifestyle content creator amassing over 13,000 followers!
