Power system studies centered on the high penetration of inverter-based resources in modern power systems, including i) modeling and control of grid-connected (dc-ac) inverters, ii) small- and large-signal stability analysis and stability enhancement of inverter-rich power systems, iii) grid integration of distributed energy resources for sustainable energy systems and microgrids, iv) autonomous distributed generation-driven power system restoration for grid resilience, v) modular and decentralized medium-voltage power systems, and vi) multi-terminal high-voltage dc transmission systems and their protection.
