# Privacy Policy — Gaali Bot 🔥

## Summary

Gaali Bot is a browser chat extension that generates humorous replies. We — the developers — do **not**

operate any server, do **not** collect analytics, and do **not** receive, store, or sell any of your

data. Your settings and chat history stay on your own device. To generate replies and voice, the

extension sends the text you type to the third-party AI providers **you** configure with **your own**

API keys (Groq and, optionally, ElevenLabs). That is the only time your data leaves your browser.

## 1. Information stored locally on your device

The extension saves the following using your browser's local extension storage. This data stays on your

computer and is **never** transmitted to us:

- **API keys** you enter — your Groq API key and (optional) ElevenLabs API key.

- **Preferences** — selected language (Hindi/English), mood/personality, voice selection, and

  text-to-speech speed.

- **Chat history** — the messages you send and the replies you receive, so you can re-open past

  conversations.

You can delete this data at any time using the in-app "Clear chat" / "Clear history" controls, or by

removing the extension from your browser.

## 2. Information sent to third parties (only with your keys)

To function, the extension makes requests directly from your browser to the AI services you set up:

- **Groq** (`api.groq.com`) — when you send a message, the text of your message and the current

  conversation is sent to Groq to generate the AI reply, authenticated with your Groq API key.

- **ElevenLabs** (`api.elevenlabs.io`) — *only if you add an ElevenLabs key and play voice*, the reply

  text is sent to ElevenLabs to generate spoken audio, authenticated with your ElevenLabs API key.

These requests go straight from your device to those providers; they do not pass through any server

operated by us. Your use of those services is governed by their own privacy policies:

- ElevenLabs: https://elevenlabs.io/privacy

If you do not add a key, no message data is sent to that provider. Without an ElevenLabs key, voice uses

your browser's built-in text-to-speech, which does not send text to ElevenLabs.

## 3. What we do NOT do

- We do **not** run a backend server and never receive your messages, keys, or history.

- We do **not** collect analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking.

- We do **not** use cookies or advertising identifiers.

- We do **not** sell, rent, or share your data with anyone.

- We do **not** load any remote or hosted code — all logic ships inside the extension.

## 4. Permissions

The extension requests only the **`storage`** permission, used solely to save the preferences, keys, and

chat history described in Section 1 on your device. It requests no host permissions and runs no content

scripts on the pages you visit.

## 5. Data retention & deletion

All data lives in your browser's local storage. It remains until you clear it in-app or uninstall the

extension, which removes all stored data.

## 6. Children's privacy

Gaali Bot is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. It contains

comedic, edgy humor and is not designed for children.

## 7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the

"Effective date" above and, where appropriate, noting the change in the extension's store listing.
