Sightseeing

Matsushima has been known as one of the "Three Most Scenic Spots of Japan" for about 400 years.

It is famous for its 260 small islands covered with pine trees. In addition to the beautiful scenery in Matsushima, you can also take a boat cruise and enjoy the breathtaking view from the sea.

Along the coastlines are historical buildings such as Zuigan-ji, Godaido, and Entsu-in.

The details of sightseeing are HERE.

Restaurants

You can enjoy local foods (especially seafood) and regional foods (sasa-kamaboko (fish cakes)) in Matsushima. A map of restaurants near the Hotel is HERE.

COVID-19 Guidelines:

In order to avoid super spread events as much as possible, we would like to ask the following to all the onsite attendees:

• Please wear face masks during the meeting.

• Please keep a distance from each other.

• Please keep your good health condition. We recommend you to check your body temperature every day and frequently wash and sanitize your hands.

• In case you get to feel sick or find awareness, please contact the organizers as soon as possible.

Organizers prepare surface thermometers and sanitizers at the workshop venue. We take the charge to ventilate meeting rooms. We would also ask attendees for wearing face masks if they will not. Thank you very much for your cooperation in advance.
