Ga Ga Pit Eagle Project
My Boy Scout Eagle Project is to build a Ga Ga Pit for our St Ann Catholic School playground. Students had great fun playing Ga Ga Ball in our temporary Ga Ga Pit during field day 2018. Adding a permanent Ga Ga Pit to our school playground would have the following benefits:
Playing Ga Ga Ball develops multiple physical skills and abilities.
- Great for children in Elementary through Middle School ages.
- Fast-paced, high energy game with quick turn-over to keeps everyone active and involved.
- Gets lots of children involved.
- Easy to learn and anyone can win!
- Develops strategic thinking.
- Develops agility, jumping, striking and dodging skills.
- Children won't lose interest throughout an entire physical education class or recess period.
- The game develops hand-eye coordination while keeping children active.
- The skills learned in Ga Ga Ball can translate to other sports.

The Ga Ga Pit will be commercial quality playground equipment. School colors will be used. Cost of supplies is approximately $1500.00. Volunteers will assemble and install the Ga Ga Pit under the leadership of Trent Leone, Eagle Scout Candidate.
Ga Ga Pit was completed on Sunday March 24, 2019
