Grassroots4GVP is the Commonwealth's most active grassroots gun violence prevention organization. We are over 600 active volunteers making a difference! We act to increase awareness, center survivors, amplify partners, and advocate for commonsense gun legislation.
Today, we are tackling some of our most important work yet. Massachusetts is one of the safest states in the nation, thanks in part to the Act Modernizing Firearms Laws, which was passed in 2024 (G4GVP was instrumental in the process!).
But now the gun lobby is leading a statewide referendum (Ballot Question 9) to repeal the law completely, testing a new strategy to erode gun safety laws. A repeal in Massachusetts would likely inspire similar efforts in other states.
The Vote Yes for a Safe Massachusetts Campaign seeks to protect the existing lifesaving legislation. Join us in voting YES on Ballot Question 9, and ensuring that others do the same.
