PETE 689- Micromechanics of porous materials:
This graduate level course includes an introduction to fracture mechanics, micromechanics, and poromechanics based on energy principles for modeling porous material behavior.
PETE 311- Reservoir Petrophysics:
This undergraduate level course provides a systematic theoretical and laboratory study of physical properties of petroleum reservoir rocks; lithology, porosity, elastic properties, strength, acoustic properties, electrical properties, relative and effective permeability, fluid saturations, capillary characteristics, and rock-fluid interactions such as adsorption and absorption.
PETE 489- Reservoir Geomechanics:
This undergraduate course familiarizes students with the necessary fundamentals of reservoir rock properties, stress and strain analysis, prediction of pore pressure, determination of rock strength, static and dynamic laboratory tests, wellbore stability, and rock fracture analysis.
