The tower is mounted on the remains of a bent section of tower that was concreted into the ground. Before the hole was concreted in I sledge-hammered in a length of scaffold pole to give extra stability and after welding a couple of small bolts to the top with the thought of adding an earthing point.
The bent section of tower had to be held in correct position with the wooden board - with the hole cut in to allow the concrete to be poured in.
The finished job turned out to look good
The tower consists of two 10 foot sections, and painted with a silver paint which starts life looking gold!
At about six foot I fitted the hinge section which would take the scaffold pole
