I am an Assistant Professor at the School of Collective Intelligence (SCI), Mohammed VI Polytechnic University – Rabat. Previously, I was a Research Associate at Chouaib Doukkali University (UCD) in El Jadida, and a part-time lecturer at l’École Supérieure des Multimédia, Informatique et Réseaux in Casablanca. I earned my Ph.D. in Computer Science from UCD in 2017 and hold a Master’s degree in Pedagogical Engineering & Multimedia Design.
My research focuses on education, particularly how technology and AI-based tools can enhance learning outcomes and support the development of cognitive and social skills in children, including those with learning disabilities such as dyslexia, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder. I am also interested in how learning difficulties manifest across different cultures and languages. In this context, I am conducting a series of experiments on how modifications to Arabic text affect the reading performance of Moroccan children with dyslexia, within their multilingual environment (e.g., Darija, Amazigh, and French).
At SCI, I lead research on collaborative learning and collective intelligence tools that promote interactive and cooperative activities for both children and adults. Also, I work on AI-based interventions designed to analyze and increase student engagement in learning environments.
