The International Project Qualifications (IPQ) is a research-based project which can be undertaken alongside a students' A-level studies to improve their independent study and research skills. These skills will become invaluable both during the university application process and during university studies.
Learners complete a 5000 word research project on a topic of their own choice. They can choose a subject to complement one of their Cambridge International AS or A Levels, a topic that they are passionate about, or mostly both. They devise and develop a research question, conduct research to answer this question, record their progress in a research log and write a research report.
Students will undertake the project over a course of one year, either in parallel with their AS or A2 years. They will be required to maintain a research log, noting any and all tasks that they perform towards the successful completion of the project, that will be submitted to Cambridge with the final research article (digitally).
