FLGC Introduction Video
If you're looking for a place for your 6th to 12th-grade student to improve their public speaking skills, this club is just for you! Here at Future Leaders Gavel Club, a junior Toastmasters Club that meets on Zoom, we strive to provide your child with all the main points in the Toastmaster's club mission statement - and more!
"We provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth".
Future Leaders Gavel Club (FLGC) members quickly learn to overcome their nervousness and enhance their speaking skills through Table Topics, an impromptu speaking activity, evaluating and giving speeches, which are generally 4-6 minutes long. However, the fun doesn't end there! Throughout each meeting, members can serve functionary roles, which include Ah-Counter, Timer, and many more. Lastly, members can run for officer roles such as President, VP of Education, and Sergeant at Arms, to name a few.
Our club meets weekly on Wednesdays from 6-7 PM PST on Zoom. We hope to see you there soon!
