An Italian Anisette Cookie
3 EGGS
4 OZ CREAM CHEESE
1 STICK BUTTER
¾ CUP SUGAR
½ TBS VANILLA EXTRACT
2 ½ CUP FLOUR
3 TSP BAKING POWDER
SOFTEN CREAM CHEESE AND BUTTER. ADD SUGAR AND VANILLA; THEN EGGS; ADD FLOUR AND BAKING POWDER; ROLL LITTLE PIECES INTO KNOTS. BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR ABOUT 10-12 MINUTES.( Until only lightly browned) HINT: MAKE THEM SMALL BECAUSE THEY EXPAND WHEN YOU BAKE THEM) you can also make them into small balls if you dont want to make “knots”..
MAKE THE GLAZE WITH POWDERED SUGAR, CREAM AND SAMBUCA OR ANISETTE. THICK ENOUGH TO COAT A SPOON.... AFTER KNOTS ARE COOLED DIP TOP IN GLAZE AND ADD THOSE LITTLE BALL COLORED SPRINKLES.
