Fuse Entertainment Company has always flourished as a team of friends creating fun and exciting experiences. If you think you'd make a great friend, we'd love to have you with us!
Fuse Entertainment staff members aren't pigeon-holed into one specific role; instead, we allow everyone in our team to work on whatever they're interested in. Whether that means creating builds, working on tech for attractions, or assisting with promotional material and guest relations, we want you to work on what you want to do.
We don't expect anyone on the team to know everything at the start; what's the fun in that? That being said, there is an expectation to keep learning and pushing yourself. Don't know how to use command blocks, TrainCarts, or create animatronics? Well, there's no better opportunity to learn than alongside other Fuse staff! Plenty of our staff members have learned what they know about Minecraft's inner workings from working on Fuse projects.
Fuse's team, at the end of the day, is still a group of friends just making fun things, but that group needs clear requirements and boundaries in order to perform. Here at Fuse, we want people who:
Love Minecraft and are passionate for the MC theme park community
Are generally friendly, knowledgeable, and focused on making things better
Avoid drama and contentious situations (or, at least, know how to resolve them)
Have a general understanding of Minecraft's redstone system
Are willing to put in the time and effort to further their understanding of Minecraft Java Edition's more complicated elements (whether that be things like command blocks, basic computer science principles, audio server regions, etc.)
Are able to dedicate a comfortable amount of time to helping assist with projects, events, and other endeavors (We don't have a required weekly hour minimum or quota for staff to fulfill, as we understand that Minecraft isn't real life, and we don't want to get in the way of that. That being said, we do expect staff to assist with events and projects in their free time unasked, and we will inform the team about large events and expect their attendance where possible).
Have a Discord and Trello account to use and access Fuse resources and project management systems
Keep in mind that one of the core tenants of Fuse is the fact that we work on the things we're passionate about. That passion involves being willing to commit to assisting projects. Because we don't mandate staff time through time clocks we expect that performance to come naturally, without needing to be requested. However, our staff communication will permit you ample projects to work on, and if you find something you want to help with, we'd love to help train and teach you the systems you need to know to make it possible.
Additionally, it's important to mention that Fuse as an envoirnment flourishes best when we're all on good terms with each other. We understand disagreements are bound to happen in some projects, but we expect all of our staff to remain professional and respectful in every sense of the word and in every envoirnment. Applicants or staff members who engage disrespectfully with other staff or players (whether on Fuse property or elsewhere in the Minecraft theme park community) will be removed from the Fuse team. We also heavily discourage any harmful or negative discussion towards others in our environments. When creating the Next Generation, there's no room for malice.
The application process at Fuse is all handled by real Fuse staff members, who manually check and respond to each potential applicant. The process goes as follows:
After reviewing our expected criteria for applicants (by reading the above sections), an applicant completes and fills out the Fuse Entertainment Company Application Form, listed further below on this page.
After completing and submitting their application, a Fuse manager or director will check their application and review it.
Should the staff feel that the applicant is a good potential fit for Fuse, they will reach out to them via Discord for an interview process. This interview typically takes the form of a text interview, but it can be hosted over voice call as well. The interview itself usually only takes around 15-20 minutes, and covers a variety of topics and questions based on the applicant's form responses.
Upon completion of the interview, the results will be discussed and shared with the rest of the Fuse management team. After some deliberation, the team determines whether or not the applicant is a good fit for Fuse. If so, they are officially welcomed to the Fuse Family as a new staff member, and join the Discord and Trello for further communication. Future trainings are also scheduled at this time to help the new staff understand the current status of any projects at the company, which are booked to accommodate the new member's schedule.
Applicants may be rejected at any part of the process for any reason, but rest assured that rejection doesn't mean you're not "good enough." Fuse is intentionally a small team, and we want it to stay that way. Rest assured that you can always reapply for Fuse every time applications reopen.
If you've read the above content and still feel like you're a good fit for Fuse, then feel free to complete the Fuse Application form below!
If applications are open, you should see the option to continue with the form.
If they're closed, then we're not currently looking for new team members. Please stay tuned to the Fuse Discord and other communication channels for further details if they reopen!
If you have any questions about the application process, the Fuse team, or anything else, please don't hesitate to get in contact. Message a Fuse Director (Clockwork2002 or TheWebCon) on the Fuse Discord for further information.
