FUSE does not collect your data. Not anonymously, not in aggregate, not for analytics. None.
There is no account, no sign-in, no advertising, and no server. This policy exists because the App Store requires one, and because "we collect nothing" is a claim you should be able to check.
FUSE has no network code. The compiled app links no networking framework at all, so it cannot send data anywhere — not by choice, but by construction.
Everything you create — custom word decks, selected contact names, game settings, statistics — is stored only on your device.
Contacts access is optional, off by default, and reads names plus enough information to tell a person from a business. Never phone numbers, never email addresses.
No account is required. No email is collected. Nothing identifies you.

FUSE does not collect, transmit, store on our servers, or share any personal information. We operate no servers that the app communicates with.
The app saves the following locally, in its own private storage area that other apps cannot read:
Game settings — chosen mode, teams, timers, category weights, theme, sound and haptic preferences
Custom decks — any word lists you create, and their names
Selected contact names — if you choose to use the Contacts feature (see below)
Statistics — games played, scores, and similar local records
This information never leaves your device except as part of your own device backup (see "Backups" below). Deleting the app removes all of it permanently.
FUSE can optionally use names from your address book as word cards, so you can guess people you know.
This feature is off by default. It does nothing unless you turn it on and grant permission.
If you do grant permission:
We read four fields, and keep only the names. The app requests exactly four pieces of information: given name, family name, organization name, and contact type. The last two exist so the app can tell a person from a business — a company in your address book isn't someone your friends can describe, so those entries are set aside and labeled. Only the names of the people you select are ever saved.
Everything else is blocked, not merely unused. Phone numbers, email addresses, postal addresses, birthdays, photos, notes, social profiles, web addresses, and instant-message handles are on an enforced list of fields the app is forbidden to request. An automated test checks this list and fails the build if any of them is ever added. This is a guarantee you can check, not a promise you have to take on faith.
You choose which names are included. After granting access, you pick individual people from a list. Only the names you select are used.
Nothing is uploaded. The selected names stay on your device, stored as plain text alongside your other settings. There is no server to send them to.
You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Contacts → FUSE. The app will keep working with the names you previously selected, and offers a one-tap option to delete those stored names.
We never access your address book in the background. Names are read only while you are using the contact selection screen.
FUSE requests one permission: Contacts, and only if you choose to use the contacts feature. The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, photos, location, health data, calendar, or any other protected resource.
Your settings, decks, and selected names are stored in your app's Application Support directory. Like most app data on iOS, this is included in your own iCloud or computer backups by default.
We mention this because it is the one way this information leaves your phone. It goes to your own backup, under your own Apple account, governed by Apple's privacy terms — not to us. We have no access to it.
FUSE does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. There is no account creation, no chat, no user-to-user communication, and no way to share anything through the app.
There are none. FUSE contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporting service, no attribution framework, and no tracking of any kind. We do not know how many times you open the app or what you do in it.
We do not share information with third parties, because we do not have any information to share. FUSE integrates no third-party services, libraries, or SDKs that collect data.
If a future version of FUSE changes how information is handled, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the effective date above will change. If a future version ever collects data, that will be stated plainly here and you will be asked to consent.
