Furio Camillo Rosati is an economist specialising in public finance, labour, and development economics, with particular focus on migration, child labour, and long-term care. Born in Rome in 1954, living in Rome, London and Berlin. He studied at the University of Rome and the London School of Economics, where he obtained his Ph.D. in Economics in 1984. His work bridges research and policy, contributing to international efforts to improve the design and evaluation of social and labour market policies. Over the years, he has collaborated extensively with the ILO, UNICEF, and the World Bank, directing large international research programmes. He is currently pursuing projects on return migration, migration and public finance in Italy, refugees in Africa, and the economics of care provision in ageing societies.
