In the competitive nature of the Capampangan food industry, few have stood tall and defied the waves of futility that are caused by the popular brand names that have existed since times prior to the emergence of the new and fresh faces. One such name that managed to withstand all those hardships is a local Capampangan restaurant that goes by the simple name of Funnside Ningnangan.

Funnside Ningnangan came from humble beginnings: from a small catering business, to becoming one of the top leading Capampangan restaurant that they are now.

Despite the presence of the big and established restaurants in Pampanga, Funnside Ningnangan responded to their call by catering to the specific taste of their local market. This resulted not only in them being able to defend themselves in their home court but allowed them to experience rapid growth that rivaled even that of their competitors.

The young but budding restaurant opened several branches across Pampanga, Bulacan, Caloocan, Gapan, and Cavite in the months to come, eventually dominating the entire Central Luzon’s restaurant business.

The company started as a catering business of Mrs. Librada Manlapaz. Driven by her love and passion for cooking, she decided to use a portion of her land and venture into a small restaurant named Funnside. making Center of the Province but to be a place of good food as well. The Naguit brothers (Former Sto . Tomas Mayor Joselito Naguit and brother Josefino Naguit) believed in the Capampangan, particularly the Tomasians ’ craftsmanship and culinary.They envisioned a venue where they could combine and showcase both that could

Funnside Ningnangan prides itself on being a Capampangan style grill and seafood restaurant. Their specialty dishes which are the favorite of most Capampangans are Pork BBQ, Sizzling Sisig, Bulalo, Crispy Pata, Chicharon Bulaklak, and other Special Seafood orders.

Its name was coined from Funnside, the name of Mrs. Manlapaz’s restaurant, and Ningnangan, a Capampangan word that Architect Naguit added which means “IHAWAN or GRILL”. With the local’s craftsmanship, Architect Naguit turned the simple Bahay Kubo into a very elegant design and concept.
