Whale and Dolphin Tour - Curu Wildlife Refuge, Montazuma
Whale watching season in Costa Rica begins in July and lasts through November. The best months to see whales are January, February, August, and September. During these months, the whales are most likely to be seen because they are mating and giving birth.
Humpback whales migrate to Costa Rica's warm waters from the Southern and Northern Hemispheres. The whales from the Southern Hemisphere arrive around mid-July, while the whales from the Northern Hemisphere arrive around the end of December.
