Table tennis enthusiasts banding together to fight Parkinson’s

Members of the Fun Fitness Table Tennis Club (FFTTC) had a kick-off party/meeting Saturday at Manatee Recreation Center in an effort to promote the sport for all residents, including those with mobility challenges.

The meeting brought together table tennis enthusiasts all the way from the Village of El Cortez in the north to the Village of Shady Brook in the south.

Members of the Fun Fitness Table Tennis Club are seeking support for the Parkinson s Moving Day Walk.

“The mission is to promote table tennis in the Villages for all residents including players with mobility changes fostering fitness, fun and community engagements,” said FFTTC leader Ratana Dong, of the Village of Polo Ridge.

Members of FFTTC will be participating in the Parkinson’s Moving Day Walk on March 15 at The Villages Polo Field. You can support their efforts by donating here. Scroll down to team and look for Fun Fitness Table Tennis Club.

This Saturday is the Parkinson's walk /Moving Day at the Villages Polo Field. The gate will be opened at 9 am. Fun Fitness Table Tennis Club 🏓 is participating in this effort and has a team set up. Please consider joining our team in this effort by clicking the link above, sign up to walk and donate to help people in Central Florida with Parkinson's. If you can't walk, you can just donate.

We will have a real table tennis table there for demonstration at the pavilion. There will be other demonstrations from Primetime Twirlers, Zumba, Rock Steady Boxing, and Cardio Stretch, too.
