Privacy Policy for FundXray

At FundXray (developed by local-first principles), we take your privacy extremely seriously. Our core philosophy is that your financial data belongs to you, and it should never leave your device.
This Privacy Policy explains how FundXray handles your information.
1. No Data Collection
FundXray does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal or financial data to any external servers.
We do not use any analytics tracking.
We do not have any user accounts or registration.
We do not track your location or device ID.
2. Local Processing
All analysis performed by FundXray happens entirely on your local device.
Portfolio Data: When you manually add a fund or import a CAS PDF, the data is stored only in your device's local encrypted storage (using Hive).
PDF Parsing: When you select a Consolidated Account Statement (CAS) PDF for import, the parsing logic runs within the app on your hardware. The PDF content is read, processed, and forgotten once the relevant holdings are extracted to your local database.
Biometric Security: If you enable biometric lock (if available in future versions), the authentication is handled by your operating system's secure enclave; the app never sees your biometric data.
3. Third-Party Services
FundXray may interact with third-party services only in the following limited ways:
Market Data: The app may download updated Mutual Fund master lists (AMFI data) or NAV updates from official public sources. These requests are anonymous and do not include any information about your portfolio.
PDF Picker: When you select a file to import, the system's native file picker is used. FundXray only accesses the specific file you choose.
4. Sub-Processors
There are no third-party sub-processors. No data is shared with cloud providers, advertising networks, or data brokers.
5. Data Retention
Your portfolio data remains on your device until you choose to delete the app or clear its local storage.
You can delete individual family members or specific funds at any time within the app settings.
6. Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Our app is intended for use by investors who manage their own portfolios.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Since the app does not have a communication channel to you (no email/push registration), we encourage you to check the policy within the app or on our official repository.
