Invitations sometimes fail to appear for invitees due to a variety of settings and technical issues:
Ensure that both iCloud Photos and Shared Albums are enabled in the Settings > Photos menu on both devices.
Invitations can be sent by entering invitees' email addresses or phone numbers tied to their Apple ID—using the correct iCloud-linked email address is crucial.
If an invitation doesn’t show up:
Check the invitee’s Junk or Spam email folders.
Resend the invitation via the Shared Album’s People tab.
If the recipient has previously unsubscribed from album invites, they’ll need to reverse that choice using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the invitation email or by contacting Apple Support.
Restarting both devices and cycling Shared Albums off/on in Settings may help.
Each shared album supports up to 5,000 photos or videos.
Owners can create up to 200 shared albums, and each user can subscribe to up to 200 shared albums.
Invitees without an Apple account can view albums via a public web link, if enabled.
To maximize reliability, ensure your invitees are using iOS, iPadOS, or macOS with updated software, and have confirmed their iCloud configuration.
Up to 100 people can subscribe to a single iPhone Shared Album, meaning you can share an album with a maximum of 100 invitees who can view and (if you choose) contribute their own photos and comments.
