A central focus of his work is how companies navigate competing demands involving energy security, environmental effectiveness, regulatory compliance, operational feasibility, cost, stakeholder expectations, and long-term competitiveness.
Dr. Kunlere holds a Ph.D. in Energy and Environmental Policy from the University of Delaware and a Master of Public Administration from the National University of Singapore. Prior to his Ph.D, he spent about a decade at Nigeria's federal environmental regulator, working across energy and environmental compliance, regulatory implementation, policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and extended producer responsibility.
His combined experience in policy, regulation, research, and implementation enables him to connect high-level sustainability commitments with the institutional capabilities, incentives, governance arrangements, and operational processes required to deliver credible and lasting results.
