Hi! My name is Beth Fuller and I am a dedicated, self-proclaimed book nerd! Reading is both my job and my life. I am a secondary literacy coach and part of my job is sharing the joy and love of reading with middle school students. I want students to know that I live the literate life that I encourage them to develop. Yearly, I set my goal to read at least 100 different books. I read educational professional literature to stay on top of the latest research in education. I read young adult and intermediate literature to be able to discuss and recommend books with the middle grade students that I serve. I read spiritual books, self-help books, and sociology texts to help me continue to grow. And lastly, I read whatever I find entertaining and intriguing. Sometimes I read all of these different books at the same time, which keeps me from getting bored and feeds all of my book appetites. Additionally, I am a voracious consumer of blogs, Twitter, FB, newspapers, magazines and a daily bible reading. In this blog, I plan to attempt to chronicle my reading life in all of its daily forms and share my thoughts on books I liked and didn't like. Mostly, I am challenging myself to keep a public record of my reading that I can share with students and teachers and respond to my reading in the same ways that I encourage students to do. All opinions expressed here, are strictly my own, unless otherwise stated.
