You might face difficulty when there are white edges and borders around laptop screen. Resolve this problem immediately to do the necessary work without hassle. But, you should first figure out the reason behind these laptop problems.

Moreover, the laptop edge might turn white with outdated monitor drivers. After changing the screen resolution, you might come across this screen error. Update the Windows OS, and it might fix this complicated technical issue.

On a MacBook exhibiting the problem, the white border was not replicated when the MacBook was connected to an external display. Also, leaving the MacBook open seems to prevent the problem from appearing. (As reported above, the white border will gradually disappear as the Macintosh is used. Apparently leaving it open counts as use, even if it goes to sleep.)

I am currently working on a splash screen with an image view. The problem is that when the splash screen is shown, there is a white border around the image. So that the splash screen shows the image with the white border around. I would like to remove the white border completely. Is there any one who know the reason for this or any suggestion?

I apply a transparent background in the theme/style I use for my splash pages, this way I don't have to distort the image being displayed to fit the screen size of the device. This works particularly well when using PNG files that contain a transparent background.

When I put LibreOffice Impress into full screen mode on a 1920x1080 pixel screen, a 1px black border appears on the bottom and right of the screen. Although this is usually not visible against the black border of the screen itself, when I do a screen capture for the purposes of a video screencast, the border artifacts become clearly visible. How do I avoid this?

How can I remove the white border in the top of the screen? The white boarder is located in the top, at the time and the iPhone battery. With an iPhone 10 and higher, it looks a little weird. It is not as visible in the picture, but I hope you understand.

I filmed a video the other day, and when i was looking through the display i noticed that it was foggy around the edges. when i downloaded the footage the white fog was still there. I don't believe any moisture could have gotten in so I'm not sure exactly whats going on here.

I've tried uninstalling, cleaning out all the old files and reinstalling firefox; I've tried disabling and re-enabling add-ons; I've tried changing my screen resolution to something else and switching back. All to no effect.

In the Firefox menu, go to 'Customize...'. Then, on the customization screen that comes up, in the bottom left it says 'title bar', with a check box next to it. Check the check box to turn on the title bar. Worked for me!

Thank you for the information. The problem you are experiencing is not because of a white bar, actually, it is because of the dimension of the images that you used in the Revolution Slider. As the image needs to be correct width/height wise and to avoid having the image skewed, the image gets smaller on height when the width of the browser is getting smaller which is the case for mobile view.

that messed up how I like my pictures to look. now they are all full screen I do not want the slides to look like this I like the ;layer grid size WIDTH the way it was but just wanted more HEIGHT. I never told you to make those changes @jumar

When I use snipping tool the picture itself is inserted into a substantially bigger canvas. (I'm not talking about the 1px border around the area which can be enabled/disabled by "Show selection ..." option).

Hi all,

When i add my FollowCamera (Virtual Camera) I get some flickering white borders in Scene View as well as in game view.

I can get rid off these by disabling the Gizmos, but its pretty annoying while developing.

Anybody else have this issue?

I opened gtk-inspector from terminal, I couldn't open it from terminator itself.Using the gtk-inspector I found the following css rule added to ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css removed the ugly white border.

I have a simple video on a homepage and when I choose to not show the video controls and turn on Autoplay, there appears to be a white border on the right hand side of the video. This only shows up on Safari for Mac, not firefox or chrome browsers.

Yes, Tested the app in multiple browsers on multiple devices. The screen shot I included was of a fully published app, viewed from within the browser. The effect is visible both when launching the app from the player and accessing the app directly via the link.

i think the most important thing is not that it would disguise as real art, but that it just looks so much better than a regular TV. the screen is definitely low gloss compared to other TVs, so it has a nice art-like matte finish.

if you want to upload your own photos, you just have to use a mat. they have an option for one, two or three photos. it can be very fun for holidays like i do every christmas with arlos santa photos. (fyi this is my older frame tv below, the first gen (yes the one arlo broke) which def had worst screen quality than our new one).

When I start up skyrim either through steam or through the TESV.exe or SkyrimLauncher.exe, after the logo screen appears, a blue window border (very different from the window borders in windows 8.1) appears around the game, and after trying so many different methods and tricks and stuff to no avail, I've given up. This border really ruins the immersion of the game, and is all around annoying. Can anybody help?

I'm going nuts. I have a gradient that I want to stretch across my screen as a background for my page header and navbar, but I have this white border around my web page. I've been trying for two days to remove this. Has anyone seen this before?

I create black fullscreen window, but there are two white 1px lines in corners (it looks like when i draw line from (0,0) to (windowResolutionY,0) and from (0,0) to (0,windowResolutinX)) maybe it some rest from borders of the window. Any advice? Thank you.

I need to set up a template for my model, which will then be printed in A4. The background is white, the 3d model will be in different shades of gray and black. The idea is to create black-arrowed lines that have white counter-clockwise in places overlapping the model. The result is similar to this. If possible, I would use Rhino for this. Any advice to achieve this will be appreciated.

This any good ? make some polyline drawn arrows, outline them and create really thin extrusions place the arrow in front (black) and rear (white) behind. Juggle the arrows as needed, your arrow in shade just use the outline.

First of all thank you for your time.

I did a lot of tests. The important thing is the final print result on A4 sheet.

Currently the best solution was: 1) custom view mode 2) black arrow surface and white offset 3) all arrow surfaces are created on a C option view plane.

I attach a photo of the A4 printing scan

The only problem to solve is the overshoot of the arrow too obvious.

The problem is that when I view these pdfs in Acrobat Pro 9.0.0 I'm seeing a thin white stroke around the document. It appears to be 1-2 px on the right and bottom edges and .5-1px on the top and right edges of the page. In the full bleed document, when I veiw the pages two-up, the white border appears on each page, leaving an unpleasant white line through the middle of my spread, in addition to the edges.

If I view these pdfs in Acrobat Reader, they appear normally, with no white border. I tried checking the preferences, since Photoshop has different options for how the edge of the document is presented in CS4, but I didn't see anything that worked. I had one of my co workers open the file on her computer and the same thing happened. I tried a pdf I downloaded from amazon.com last month and the same white lines appeared.

Emby Server version 4 (which is much improved!) introduced a white border around video in the Safari web client. Windowed it's top and bottom, fullscreen it's a thin line on the bottom. See attached screenshots.

Hi there, quick question. I'm using Storyline 360, and I'm noticing a slight off white pixel border abound a dark photo background. I've tried different things, and just can't seem to get rid of it. The border - off white/grey in color - is very slight - perhaps only a pixel or two. There are times that the border is on all 4 sides of the background, and with others, it's just on just the left and/or right. This photo shows the border (which is one the inside edge of the player) on the left side of the background image.

Hi Alyssa... Thanks for the quick follow up on this. The screen shot I provided was taken directly from the published preview screen, from within the preview mode, as viewed directly from within Storyline 360. Obviously, it's worse when using the dark option for the player frame. At times it does seem worse, like when using slide backgrounds imported directly from PowerPoint, and it seems to get better when using templates from Articulate 360. I'll keep you briefed as I try to discover any patterns... Thanks and have a great weekend.

I am experiencing a similar white line at the bottom of my activity when I export the file to review and upload it to my Rise course. I was not experiencing this with this file prior to updating to the most recent version of Storyline 360. Is there something in the new version that broke the fix Ashley mentioned 5 months ago?

Hello. I have created some animated MP4s and brought them in as graphic elements in Storyline. When I preview the slide, a white border appears around part of the video. Because of the placement of the video element, it is obvious where the break between video and slide is. How can I remove this white border? e24fc04721
