If you want for kids bluetooth that doubles as a comfortable headband for side sleeping and light exercise, choose Fulext Sleep Headphones; if you need a high-fidelity adapter to turn any 3.5mm jack into a low-latency wireless source for travel or gaming, choose SUNITEC Airplane. These two devices solve completely different problems: one is an all-in-one wearable designed to keep your ears covered while you rest, and the other is a compact dongle meant to upgrade the audio experience of existing headphones on a plane or at home.
• Fulext Sleep Headphones: Best strength is its dual-purpose design that combines a soft headband with ultra-thin speakers for sleeping and sports; biggest trade-off is that it lacks advanced codecs like aptX HD and has a shorter battery life compared to dedicated adapters. This pick is for parents looking for a gentle, washable solution for kids bluetooth needs or adults who sleep on their sides.
• SUNITEC Airplane: Best strength is its powerful Qualcomm chipset supporting aptX HD Adaptive for premium, low-latency sound over long distances; biggest trade-off is that it requires separate headphones and offers no comfort features beyond being a small plug-and-play device. This pick is for travelers, gamers, or anyone needing to convert an older TV or airplane seat into a high-quality wireless audio station.
The Fulext Sleep Headphones are built around a very specific physical constraint: the human head while lying down. Most standard earbuds become painful after thirty minutes because they press against the pinna or get crushed between the pillow and the skull. The Fulext solves this by integrating flat, ultra-thin speakers directly into a stretchy, breathable mesh fabric. With a thickness of only 0.25 inch, the design allows you to sleep in any position without feeling a hard plastic shell digging into your temple. This makes it an ideal choice for side sleepers who have traditionally struggled to find comfortable audio gear.
Beyond just sleeping, this product is engineered as a hybrid fitness accessory. The material composition—80% nylon, 12% polyester, and 8% spandex—is designed to be quick-drying and sweat-resistant. You can wear this during a run, a yoga session, or a gym workout without worrying about wires tangling or sweat dripping into your eyes. The built-in microphone ensures you don't miss calls even while you are in the middle of a set or a jog. For families, the fact that the entire unit is machine washable (once the control pod is removed) adds a layer of hygiene that standard electronics simply cannot offer.

However, this device is not a high-end audiophile tool. While it supports Bluetooth 5.0 and delivers stereo sound through dynamic drivers, it does not support the latest lossless codecs found in more expensive gear. If you are listening to compressed MP3s or standard streaming services, the sound quality will be clear and sufficient, but you won't get the immersive detail of high-bitrate files. Additionally, the battery life caps at 10 hours of playtime on a full charge, which is solid for a night's sleep but might fall short for a long-haul international flight where you plan to watch multiple movies back-to-back. It is a practical, durable tool for daily use, not a luxury entertainment system.
The SUNITEC Airplane adapter takes a fundamentally different approach by focusing entirely on connectivity and signal fidelity. It is a small, 20-gram plastic dongle that plugs into the 3.5mm aux jack of an airplane seat, a treadmill console, or an older television. Its primary value proposition lies in its ability to bridge the gap between legacy wired equipment and modern wireless headphones. By utilizing Bluetooth 5.3 and a Qualcomm chipset, it provides a stable connection with strong anti-interference capabilities, which is critical when you are surrounded by hundreds of other electronic signals in a crowded cabin.
For travelers and content consumers, the standout feature is the support for aptX HD Adaptive and aptX Adaptive codecs. These technologies are specifically designed to reduce latency and improve audio clarity. If you are watching a movie on a tablet or trying to follow dialogue in a film on an airplane screen, the low latency ensures your lips move in sync with the sound. Without these codecs, you often hear a noticeable delay that ruins the immersion. Furthermore, the device boasts a massive 35-hour battery life on a single charge, meaning you can go on multiple trips without ever needing to plug it into a power bank.
This product also shines in multi-user scenarios. It allows you to connect two Bluetooth headphones simultaneously, letting you and a travel companion listen to the same audio stream from the same source. This is a game-changer for parents flying with children or couples who want to share a movie without fighting over one pair of earbuds. However, this device has zero inherent comfort or isolation features. It is purely a transmitter; you must already own a pair of headphones to make it useful. It does not block noise, nor does it provide any cushioning. It is a utility device for people who already have good headphones and just need a way to make them work with non-Bluetooth sources.
• Best for side sleeping comfort → Fulext Sleep Headphones: The flat, fabric-based design eliminates pressure points that kill sleep quality with rigid earbuds.
• Best for long-haul flight battery life → SUNITEC Airplane: A 35-hour runtime easily covers multiple flights, whereas the Fulext requires recharging every night or two.
• Best for low latency gaming → SUNITEC Airplane: Support for aptX Adaptive ensures near-zero lag, crucial for action games on a Switch or mobile device.
• Best for hygiene and maintenance → Fulext Sleep Headphones: Being fully machine washable (with pod removal) makes it far easier to clean than a plastic dongle or earbuds.
• Best for connecting to old TVs or consoles → SUNITEC Airplane: It acts as a universal converter for any 3.5mm jack, turning dumb speakers into smart audio sources.
• Best for active workouts → Fulext Sleep Headphones: The sweat-proof, secure headband stays put during running or lifting without the risk of falling out.
• Best for sharing audio with a partner → SUNITEC Airplane: Dual connection capability lets two people listen to the same source wirelessly at once.
• Best for simplicity and portability → SUNITEC Airplane: At just 20 grams, it fits in a pocket or keychain, whereas the Fulext is a wearable item you must remember to pack.
I would buy the Fulext Sleep Headphones if my goal was to create a peaceful, uninterrupted sleep environment for myself or a child, especially given the "for kids bluetooth" use case where comfort and safety are paramount. The ability to wash the band and sleep on your side without pain makes it a unique, problem-solving piece of gear. However, I would recommend the SUNITEC Airplane if I were primarily a traveler or a gamer who needed to maximize the performance of my existing headphones on airplanes or with older electronics. The superior battery life and aptX HD support give it a technical edge for entertainment, but it lacks the holistic comfort of the Fulext. Ultimately, the Fulext wins for lifestyle integration, while the SUNITEC wins for raw audio performance and versatility.
The Fulext Sleep Headphones are designed with hypoallergenic materials and ultra-thin speakers that do not press against the ears, making them suitable for side sleepers. They are washable, which helps maintain hygiene for younger users.
Yes, the SUNITEC Airplane connects via 3.5mm to any Bluetooth headphone or earbud, including AirPods, allowing you to use your personal wireless buds on seatback screens that lack Bluetooth.
No, both devices are designed for plug-and-play operation. The Fulext uses touch controls on the band itself, while the SUNITEC connects automatically via Bluetooth without requiring additional software.
The SUNITEC Airplane offers up to 35 hours of continuous playback on a single charge, significantly outperforming the Fulext Sleep Headphones, which provide approximately 10 hours of use.
