If you want a dedicated, high-speed charging solution for your Sony headphones and speakers that keeps the cord long enough to move freely around the house, choose FTUINL 6FT; if you need a compact, dual-purpose adapter to listen to audio while simultaneously fast-charging your smartphone or laptop, choose Meliya USB C. These two products solve fundamentally different problems, and confusing them is the fastest way to end up with gear that doesn't fit your daily routine.
• FTUINL 6FT: Its biggest strength is the robust 20W power delivery combined with a substantial 6.6-foot cable designed specifically for powering large wireless audio devices like Sony WH-1000XM5s and SRS speakers without tugging on the port. The trade-off is that it is a single-function charger block and cable set that does not offer audio output or connectivity to phones. This pick is for owners of heavy-duty Bluetooth audio gear who need reliable, fast recharging in various room layouts.
• Meliya USB C: Its biggest strength is its clever 2-in-1 design that splits a single USB-C input into both a 3.5mm headphone jack and a PD 60W charging port, allowing simultaneous listening and power. The trade-off is that it lacks the length and raw charging speed of a dedicated block, and it is strictly an accessory for mobile devices rather than a standalone power source for large speakers. This pick is for travelers or commuters using modern smartphones who cannot afford to lose their wired audio experience while charging.
The FTUINL 6FT is built for one specific purpose: keeping your wireless audio ecosystem alive without the frustration of short cords. If you own Sony equipment like the WH-1000XM4, WH-1000XM5, WF-1000XM5 earbuds, or even larger units like the SRS XB100 and ULT Field series, this cable is engineered to handle them. The standout feature here is the total length of approximately 6.6 feet (2 meters). In a real-world setting, this means you can plug your charger into a wall outlet across the room and still comfortably reach your headphones sitting on a desk, your nightstand, or a speaker placed on a coffee table. You aren't tethered to a tight radius near the power source.
Beyond length, the power delivery is where this unit shines for audio enthusiasts. It delivers a solid 20W of power, which translates to significantly faster charging times compared to standard 5V/1A adapters. The data indicates that compatible earbuds can jump from 0% to 80% charge in just 30 minutes. This efficiency matters when you are preparing for a long day or need to get your headphones ready quickly before a workout. The 20W output is also designed to be safe for sensitive electronics, ensuring that the rapid charge cycle won't damage the internal battery of your expensive earbuds or headphones over time.

This product is ideal for anyone who treats their audio gear as a primary tool for work or leisure and needs a reliable, permanent fixture in their home setup. It is perfect for the person who wants to leave their headphones plugged in overnight or during a break without worrying about the cord snapping or being too short to reach. However, if you are looking for a portable dongle to use with your phone, or if you need to charge multiple devices at once, this is not the right choice. It is a specialized tool for a specific job: fast, long-reach charging for Sony-compatible audio hardware.
The Meliya USB C adapter serves a completely different demographic, targeting users who have migrated to USB-C only devices but refuse to abandon their trusted wired headphones. The core value proposition here is versatility. Modern smartphones like the iPhone 17, 16, 15, and Samsung Galaxy S25, S22 have removed the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack. Meliya solves this by providing a bridge that allows you to plug in a standard 3.5mm headset while simultaneously drawing power from a USB-C source. This is a critical feature for commuters, students, or office workers who rely on wired audio for better sound quality or lower latency but need their device to stay powered up.
The technical specification that sets this apart is the Power Delivery (PD) support of up to 60W. This isn't just a trickle charger; it is capable of fast-charging your laptop or phone while you are listening to music or taking calls. For a user with a USB-C laptop, this means they can keep a pair of high-fidelity wired headphones connected to the adapter without draining their battery mid-meeting or mid-flight. The 2-in-1 design eliminates the need to juggle two separate cables or find a spare USB-C port that might not support data or audio pass-through simultaneously.
This product is best suited for individuals who prioritize connectivity and multitasking over raw charging speed for stationary devices. It is the go-to solution for someone who travels frequently and needs a compact, single-cable fix for their audio and power needs. However, it is not a replacement for a wall charger block. It requires a power source to function and is designed primarily for mobile use cases. If you are looking to charge a bulky speaker system or need a long cord to drape across a room, this adapter will feel restrictive and impractical. It is a mobility aid for your audio experience, not a home charging station.
• Best for battery life during charging → Meliya USB C, due to its 60W PD capability supporting simultaneous device power and audio.
• Best for long-range home use → FTUINL 6FT, with its 6.6-foot cable reaching outlets far from your seating area.
• Best for fast earbud recharge → FTUINL 6FT, delivering 20W to charge earbuds to 80% in roughly 30 minutes.
• Best for wired audio on modern phones → Meliya USB C, providing the essential 3.5mm jack for non-USB-C headphones.
• Best for Sony audio ecosystems → FTUINL 6FT, explicitly listed as compatible with WH-1000XM4/5, WF-1000XM5, and SRS speakers.
• Best for multi-device power → Meliya USB C, handling laptops and phones with high-wattage pass-through.
• Best for durability of connection → FTUINL 6FT, as a dedicated block and cable set often feels more robust than a small dongle.
• Best for travel convenience → Meliya USB C, offering a compact 2-in-1 solution that replaces multiple adapters.
In my opinion, the choice between these two comes down entirely to what you are trying to power. If you are looking for a dedicated charging solution for your Sony headphones or speakers, specifically for swimming or other active scenarios where a long cord prevents tangling, the FTUINL 6FT is the clear winner. Its 20W output and 6.6-foot length are tailored for keeping your audio gear running smoothly without the hassle of short cables. Conversely, if you are a traveler or commuter who needs to listen to wired music while charging your phone or laptop, the Meliya USB C is the indispensable tool you need. I would personally buy the FTUINL 6FT for my home audio setup because it solves the specific pain point of cable length and charging speed for my Sony equipment, whereas the Meliya adapter is too niche for general home use.
Neither product is explicitly described as waterproof or submersible in the data sheets. The FTUINL 6FT is a charging cable, and the Meliya USB C is a dry-use adapter; neither is designed to be submerged in water.
The FTUINL 6FT is marketed specifically for Sony headphones and speakers. While it has a USB-C connector, its compatibility list focuses on audio gear, so it may not be optimized for Apple devices.
The description highlights the 3.5mm audio jack and PD 60W charging port. It does not explicitly mention data transfer capabilities, so it is primarily an audio and power bridge.
For a home office where you use headphones constantly, the FTUINL 6FT offers better value due to its longer cable and dedicated fast-charging block, reducing cable clutter.
