For The Least of These, Inc. (FTLOT) is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) public charity providing food and essential-needs assistance, senior outreach, youth and college student support, and resource navigation in Tallahassee and surrounding communities.

Inspired by Matthew 25:40, our mission is to strengthen individuals and families experiencing hardship by providing practical assistance, compassionate support, advocacy, and connections to trusted community resources.

Community Commodities

Through our Collaborative Food Distribution Program, FTLOT provides groceries, frozen foods, hygiene products, household essentials, and other necessities to individuals and families experiencing hardship. We work with community distribution partners to reach seniors, college students, youth, low-income households, and people facing transportation barriers.

Resource Referrals and Navigation

FTLOT connects individuals and families with trusted community organizations and available services based on their circumstances. Referrals may include food assistance, senior services, education-related support, emergency resources, and other programs that help households address immediate needs and work toward greater stability.

Community Wellness and Support

Our outreach efforts promote dignity, stability, and stronger community connections. Through senior outreach, youth and college student support, essential-needs distributions, and collaborative partnerships, we help reduce barriers that can prevent people from receiving timely assistance.

Recent Community Impact

FTLOT began its community-based distributions in May 2026 and continues to provide food and essential-needs assistance through direct outreach and community partnerships.

In May 2026, FTLOT served 86 households representing 195 individuals. In June, we served 115 households representing 229 individuals. In July, we served 107 households representing 271 individuals. In August, FTLOT recorded 103 households representing 188 individuals.

Our outreach has included food distributions, senior support, college student assistance, youth support, hygiene and household essentials, and services for people experiencing transportation or other access barriers.
