Our 1st competition is November 19th!
Inspiring others, and giving back to our community
Family fun night 2022!
We had a booth at the annual West Bloomfield School District Family Fun Night and displayed a robot from last year's season. Sadly we could not run the robot due to an update. We were next to our school district's FRC team, and we also had a LEGO free-build table where the younger kids could build something to add to a LEGO model. We talked about all levels of FIRST robotics to get people of all ages interested in joining and supporting our robotics program. We talked to a lot of kids and parents, many of which looked and showed interest.
A Byte Of Robotics!
On November 5th we participated in a community engagement and community service project - A Byte of Robotics. We had a Milo station and a LEGO free build area for younger students. One of our district's FLL teams had a table set up to show what they do. We also had a EV3 coding station to let people try it out, and we shared information about our FTC robots.
In addition, we collected donations to support Oakland County Foster Closet. They requested items like Baby shampoo, baby lotion , toys, socks and underwear for toddlers, box cake mix, and frosting. We collected 3 boxes full of donations.
Trunk or Treat @ E.L.E.I.A Beach - Several members from our robotics program volunteered to help with Trunk or Treat. Not only did we pass out candy, we got to be actors in the Haunted House!
