2025-2026 is Octabots first year / rookie year. Marcus high school robotics teacher generously offered a lot of support including an introductory session on robotics and donating blocks for our robot. High school team Trial and Error gave us a start-up session on team registration and team formation. We were able to secure a grant from Arogosy Foundation. We have two high school mentors (Siddhu K. and Shreay A.) guiding us. Parents helped us with additional funding, technical and moral support including robot building, engineering portfolio and tournament preparation. We reached out to senior teams including Mechanical Advantage and Forged in Iron, who generously gave us full field access and held support sessions for tournament preparation. We were able to build our first robot and compete in X-League robotics competitions and qualified in Semi-regionals. Our team started bringing STEM awareness in the community by presenting at Liberty Elementary School's science fair.
