Our  goal :   Our goal is to be able to work together and create ourselves a learning experience, but also try our best to exceed in competition.

Our mission statement:  We work hard and collaborate together to excel. We teach others how to work as a team using inspiration, teamwork, imagination, critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and fun. We inspire others to join the FIRST robotics programs that our district offers!

Our story: We are based in West Bloomfield, Michigan, and are a part of the WBSD Community Education robotics program. Our team started as an FLL Jr team in the spring of 2017 (LEGO League Rescue Animals ). Two of our team members participated as Jr Mentors for a fall 2017 FLL team (Aqua Bots), then came back for their final year of FLL Jr in the spring of 2018 (Jr Aqua Bots ). At the end of that season, we were invited to be a part of the FIRST World Expo where we made many new friends, and were inspired to keep going and to do more to promote the robotics program in our district.

We spent our first year of FLL as a single school-based team (Roosevelt Husky Super Stars). Halfway through the season, we found a student that was in need of a team but went to a different school. We offered to change our name to be more inclusive, but he insisted that we keep it as is..

For our 2nd and final year of FLL, when deciding our team name, we decided that we would drop "Roosevelt" from our name as we were now a multi-school team. When voting on the final team name something funny happened - a team member was trying to get our attention by "Dabbing" by a window. That's when we became the Husky Super Dabbers.

2020-21 was our first year as an FTC team. Due to COVID, we only participated in the Innovation Challenge this year. But that was fine with us - we participated in an alliance with our High School's FRC team (4737 Atomigators) and made great connections with the team and their mentors.

We kept our team name, but were a team with individuals from many different FLL Jr and FLL teams. We also had a few new members who had never been on a robotics team before. 2021-22 marked our first year building an FTC robot, and we were very excited to finally get the opportunity to do this!

In the 2021-22 school year, we had one team of 15 But now in the 2022-23 school year, robotics grew and got more people we went from one team of 15 to 3 teams of 15 and we renamed from the Husky Super Dabbers to the Anchorbots. The other two teams from West Bloomfield Middle School are the Gator Gears (Team 22373), Wall-EB (Team 22300).

For the 2023-24 school year, we wanted to think about a long term strategy for marketing and recruiting. We've renamed our team once again, but this time to a name we believe will stand the test of time. We are now known as the Robogators!
