Speed dating is a matchmaking process in which participants are given the opportunity to meet a number of potential partners in a short time period. Participants are rotated between partners to have a series of conversations to determine romantic interest.

We will be hosting our speed-dating events and virtual first dates on Zoom.
How many dates will I go on during the event?

You will have the opportunity to go on up to 12 back-to-back mini dates during the event; 4 minutes each.
How does the match-making process work?
How does the match-making process work?
During the speed-dating event, you will tell us in a questionnaire who you would like to see again. "Matches" are defined as mutual desire by both parties to see each other again.
What are the virtual first dates?
What are the virtual first dates?
Soon after your speed-dating event, we will determine your match(es) and work with you to set up a virtual first date with each of them! This date will be administered via Zoom, will last approximately thirty minutes, and will be recorded. You will go on a virtual first date with EACH person you match with from the speed-dating event!

We are hoping to be able to offer options for this in the near future! If you select this option on the eligibility survey, we will reach out to you when this option is available.

No, sorry! We may hold future events for non-FSU students, but this one is limited to students who are currently enrolled at FSU only.
