The Special Operations Group is the spearhead tactical unit of the United States Marshal Service. It is the premier covert and overt unit that has a variety of tactical capabilities including direct action, covert infiltration, emergency rescue, emergency response, and counter-terrorism capabilities. Most of its operations and standard procedures are often kept classified up to the General Schedule Paygrade of at-least a GS-12. Any operations that may be disclosed to the public must be requested by a Operations Chief paygrade, GS-14 or higher.
The Orlando Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team is a fugitive recovery task force based in the City of Orlando, Florida. It is one of the fugitive task forces under the Federal District in the Middle District of Florida, primarily tasked with recovering and arresting fugitives.
