The idea of Fruity Shoots was conceived one lazy afternoon by four friends who wanted to make music with no knowledge of playing any instruments. All of them being dance enthusiasts surmised that a "cool" and unconventional way of achieving this is by producing music using their (sub-par) dancing skills and their shoes. And voila! Thus began the journey that culminated with the conception of Fruity Loops!
First rough prototype
Gyroscope and Accelerometer detect the movement of the foot while the pressure sensors detect pressure put at specific areas of the foot only. Different dance steps trigger one or more of these sensors producing unique sounds.
LED lights integrated into the shoe that can change into a host of mellow colors based on foot taps and movements. Buttons on the shoe can turn the lights on/off as per user convenience.
