Release/Patch Notes
Build 7 (0.1.7) QoL Improvements:
Quality of Life has (hopefully) greatly improved in this update! These include:
Confirmation Text Boxes will now pop up when speaking with NPCs that want to trade goods and services, this should help Fruit Gatherers from unwanted transactions being forced upon them from these NPCs
These also include colored text to help clarify which fruit is being traded!
The "Nuttington's" Fruits of Your Labor container has been slightly changed in the following ways:
There is now slightly slower progression after about 500 Gem Fruits have been invested
There is now a progress bar to indicated how long until your next fruit(s) will be ready to pick up!
The Number of fruits ready (as listed on the sign) will not randomly distribute between the fruits it gives, rather than giving that amount for every fruit that it gives
Fruit Can Fruits are no longer obtainable from this, leaving only Pear Fruits and Rock Fruits collectable
Captain Can's Fruit Canner Operation in the city has been streamlined!
The Fruit Canner will now take fruits based on the current Fruit of the Day! (rather than taking varying numbers of multiple fruits)
There are currently 3 different canning options, with 1 being chosen for the time being at random. These include:
5 Pear Fruits -> 2 Fruit Can Fruits
5 Rock Fruits -> 2 Fruit Can Fruits
10 Gem Fruits -> 2 Fruit Can Fruits
The current Fruit of the Day will be indicated on the Fruit Canner Sign attached to the bin
Sidekick Seed has better learned his notes and will tell you the Fruit of the Day in his dialogue
Fruit Gatherer's will now wait longer in between Idle Animations in order to conserve their energy for Fruits rather than Dancing
Loads (like BOATLOADS) of performance improvements and fixes, some notable ones are as follows:
Things aren't real if you can't see them! (kind of); most objects that aren't being looked at by the camera will now not be loaded!
There is now a Camera Collision system, meaning that the camera will try to get closer to you if there is an object in the way
NPCs will no longer curse you for leaving conversations you started with them (fixed a bug where you could be stuck with an empty dialogue box if you ran away from an NPC right when you start dialogue with them)
Build 6 (0.1.6) Launch Release Version!:
Fruits of Your Labor is now officially released on the Google Play Store! (Maybe tell your friends or something)
Big Player Animation Overhaul
All Player Animations are now in a smooth 60 fps, much butter quality
New idle animations have been added to help spice up Fruit Gatherers when they get that itch to move
Jumping should look and be much more consistent and responsive compared to before
Added a confirmation box to notify Fruit Gatherers that they'll witness an Advertisement when gazing into The Hat
Fixed being able to get dozens of thousands of fruit from "Nuttington's" Fruits of Your Labor container when there was no fruit to collect; No longer will Fruit Gatherers collect the Fruits of Other's Labors
Fruit Gatherer's base speed (unaided by Gravitea) has been increased, while removing the movement speed bonus from paths
It wasn't obvious to many that the paths were giving a movement speed increase, and when running off-road using multiple paths there would be a strange feeling of changing movement speeds, so the whole path-giving-speed system has been thrown out
Moved some miscellaneous furniture around, adding a bit of Feng Shui
Build 5 (0.1.5):
Added a Brand New Options Menu for both the Main Menu and In Game Scenes. The Options Menu Includes:
Music Volume Settings
Camera Speed Settings
An Exit Game Button (for all you people that have trouble escaping the game)
A "RESET GAME DATA" button (on the main menu only) that will, in fact, RESET ALL SAVED PROGRESS
TO BE CLEAR: THIS WILL RESET ALL SAVED PROGRESS
A Quack Button (In Game)
There is now also a somewhat smooth transition between scenes; do not fear that it's a silhouette of a duck.
Removed the collider of Amolia Pearheart's shovel; hope you can dig it.
Added many invisible walls to the neighborhood houses. The homeowners sent too many complaints of people jumping and running on their roofs.
This also includes a seemingly scalable water tower. However, many of the city buildings remain untouched for those that are acrobatically inclined.
Fixed (hopefully) unfortunate fruit gatherers being able to get negative fruits that resulted in generational fruit debt.
Luckily any fruit debt can be expunged with the previously mentioned "RESET GAME DATA" button in the Main Menu.
Build 4 (0.1.4):
Raised Hitbox/Colliders for Wooden City Fences, this should lead to less fruit gathering escapees trying to leave society
Removed hitbox on Duck in Pear Park, as he should be nimble enough to avoid collision with fruit gatherers trying to get their feet wet
Added Hitbox/Collider to the Peanut Kid King, should anybody get on his level
Removed a few random props the developer unintentionally left in, fortunately not many seemed to notice so this should make them more unnoticeable.
Moved Nuthaniel and improved his dialogue systems, he should inform fruit gatherers of his dilemma before they can leave the park, leading to less confusion as to why in the world you're collecting peanut kids
Improved Cosmo dialogue so he's less chatty and also guides the player on how to get Fruit Can Fruits
Lowered/Grounded some mysteriously floating crates; 100% totally not weird happenings involving the Melon Mafia
Added a Reset Button in the Hamburger Menu of the initial Main Menu Screen, should any fruit gatherers feel like they've done it all and want to humble themselves by starting back at square one.
TO BE CLEAR: THIS WILL RESET ALL SAVED PROGRESS
3rd Initial Build (0.1.3):
Made Dialogue Text Size scale to multiple sizes if the player's resolution would not fit all the text, allowing the player to not miss any dialogue
Game should be available between Android API Levels 22 - 33, so it should be compatible with about 17,000 devices (Including 4 Cars!?)
2nd Initial Build (0.1.2):
Fixed Hengry Bug where he was so tired he wouldn't move far enough for the player to move past him
His movement was given a time limit while his speed was tied to fps, so unless the player had very high fps he would continue to block
INITIAL BUILD (0.1.1):
Currently the only save features are your gathered fruits, peanut kids dropped off and total gems invested; the world does not save
