Signing up for this event means that you are aware of your own limits. Fursuit dancing requires a lot of endurance and the ability to know when to stop and rehydrate, or catch your breath. If you are to participate, you are responsible for any kind of injury or health issue that you may inflict upon yourself or another individual/participant. This includes physical and emotional injuries or damages, and destruction or damage to any fursuits used. Event organizers will not be held responsible for these actions.
That being said, water and cooling devices will be provided at the event to prevent any cases of dehydration or overheating.
It is extremely likely that photographers will be present at the event. Additionally, the event is going to be recorded. We are aware that fursuiters do not always want to be photographed or recorded without their fursuit heads on. We will be informing anyone with a camera or recording device before the event that if any photos are being taken, there must be an understanding that you attempt not to photograph people who are cooling off or need to take off their fursuit in an emergency situation (or at least attempt to blur the backgrounds in the photos or videos).
In return, we request that you inform the event runner if you are absolutely against any possibility of media capturing you without your suit on, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
No non-clothing props allowed. By “non-clothing”, we mean things that are not on your body/clothing, such as water guns, poi, cups, etc. This is not only to prevent liability issues, but also because it gives an unfair advantage to competitors who use them. However, fursuit accessories are permitted as long as they are not being used as a projectile, and not only as a prop.
No excessive cursing/insults. This is a PG-13 rated event, which means that we are not allowed to be vulgar. “Burns” that are executed during the battles are perfectly fine, but keep it moderated and under control.
Arrive on time. We cannot stress this rule enough, as out of respect for your fellow competitors and the event, we must ask you to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the event. We will do a roll call 15 minutes before we begin preliminaries, and then we have to get the event rolling. We will be on a schedule, and that requires us to keep the event going at a consistent pace. If you are not on time, you will not be able to participate.
Don't be disrespectful towards the judges' decisions. Even though this is a battle competition, we’re all here to have fun. Encourage your fellow dancers and cheer for ‘em as loud as you can! It is okay to be upset about losing, but do not take it out on the event runners or other dancers.
