Fire Fruit grows on tiny trees with yellow leaves, and you can often spot their red-hot glow from a distance, especially at night. These fiery fruits can be found early game in many areas of Hyrule Field, often near slabs of grey stone that lays tilted on the grassy fields. Similar to Sora and Kairi, Aqua wants to stay connected to her friends, no matter what happens, and believes the power of the paopu fruit will help with that.

In Chain of Memories, Namine transforms the good luck charm Sora received from Kairi into a charm that resembles the paopu fruit, which again references the fruit being seen as a good luck charm.

The paopu fruit's appearance on Kairi's Keyblade is most likely a reference to the cave drawing she and Sora drew, as well as the 'destiny' mentioned both in the paopu fruit legend and the name of the Keyblade itself.
