Deep within the core of the earth, there is a host of unique environments and lifeforms. This realm offers the canines their only escape from the snow, but it is (shockingly) not a welcome one. The scorching heat and dangerous beasts make this an unlivable place.
A shadowy realm with a landscape made up of every book that has been or will be written. Something strange has come over this place. Most books are now nothing more than indiscernable, dripping masses, and dangerous things lurk about.
AKA: "Tall Things", "Hidebehinds"
These towering black beasts are adorned with horns, claws, and coarse fur. They stand completely still when they are near a light source, or when they're being watched. When undetected, they are immensely dangerous. They have the power to blind others temporarily, and are invisible during the day.
Remnants of the species that built upon this land long ago, the undead vary in form and appearance. One might question whether these beings are conscious at all. They don't seem to notice our main cast of canines, unless they're provoked- in which case they will attack.
These, among other bugs and insects, seem to have thrived in this decaying world. Perhaps this is how they've grown so large..
Mimics are mysterious, canine-like beasts with the power to change their form into one of something they've had close contact with. There are numerous varieties of mimics with different levels of consciousness, cognition, and power. In their base forms they are dark in color, lack eyes, and may have extra legs or a split tail.
Unique varieties of mimics roam the manor. One such type, known as a greater mimic, boasts three heads and sharp projectiles formed of broken shadow gems. These are aggressive, and likely the most dangerous of the known mimic varieties.
Skeletal fish with a colorful, glowing aura. These creatures are powerful, and can form bonds with the canines. Jora's favorite, Dinnerbone, is perpetually upside-down for some reason.
