This app is built to respect your privacy. We do not sell your personal data, and
your content stays on your device. This policy explains the limited data the app uses.
INFORMATION THE APP USES
- approximate/precise location (used only to fetch the overnight weather forecast — temperature, dew point, wind, and cloud cover — for your area from the Open-Meteo weather service; your coordinates are sent to that service solely to return the forecast and are not stored by us).
- local notifications (used only to remind you, on your device, to cover your plants when frost is forecast; scheduling happens entirely on-device and no notification data leaves your phone).
- anonymous diagnostics and crash reports (via Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics) to keep the app stable.
- an advertising identifier and related data used by Google AdMob to show ads. On iOS, the app asks for your permission via App Tracking Transparency (ATT) before any tracking, and uses Google's UMP consent flow to honor GDPR/EEA choices. You can decline tracking and the app keeps working with non-personalized ads.
The app does not require camera, microphone, or contacts access.
HOW IT IS USED
Frost risk is computed on-device from the fetched forecast. Your frost log,
alert preference, and settings are stored on your device only.
We use the data above only to provide the app's features, to keep the app stable,
and (with your consent) to show ads. We do not build advertising profiles ourselves
and we do not upload your content to our servers.
DATA RETENTION & YOUR CONTROL
Settings and content you create are stored on your device and are removed when you
delete the app. You can revoke location, notification, or tracking permissions at
any time in your device's Settings app; the app will continue to work with reduced
features (sample forecast data is shown when location is off).
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The app may use: Open-Meteo (weather forecast), Google Firebase (Analytics,
Crashlytics) and Google AdMob (ads). Their handling of data is governed by their
own privacy policies.
CHILDREN
This app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal
information from children.
