Instructions for Authors

Thank you for your interest in publishing with Frontier Literary Journal, a creative publication under JPSSRC Publishing (NBDB Registered). The journal welcomes poetry, short stories, essays, and other literary forms that celebrate imagination, diversity, and human experience across cultures. Please read the submission guidelines carefully before completing the Google Form Submission:

Submission Guidelines

  1. Eligible Works: We accept poems, short stories, flash fiction, essays, and other creative literary works written in English or Filipino. Translated works are also welcome, provided proper credit is given to the original author.
  2. Originality Requirement: All submissions must be original and unpublished. Works that have appeared on social media, blogs, or other platforms will not be accepted. Each submission will undergo a Turnitin originality check to ensure authenticity and integrity.
    • The similarity index must not exceed 10%.
    • AI-generated or AI-assisted content is strictly prohibited and will result in automatic disqualification.
  3. File Format: Submit your manuscript in Microsoft Word (.docx) or Google Docs format.
    • Font: Times New Roman, size 12, double-spaced
    • Include the title of the work, author’s full name or pen name, and a short bio (50–100 words) at the end of the document.
    • Indicate your simple affiliation (e.g., school, organization, or country).
    • You may include a brief author’s note (optional) about the inspiration or context of your work.
  4. Number of Submissions: Authors may submit up to three (3) poems or one (1) short story or essay per issue.
  5. Submission Process:
    • Complete the Google Form and upload your manuscript.
    • You will receive an acknowledgment email within 24 hours confirming receipt.
    • The review process takes 5–10 days, which includes an editorial evaluation of originality, literary quality, and thematic relevance.
    • Authors of accepted works will be notified through email.
  6. Publication & Fees:
    • Submission is completely free.
    • Only accepted works will be subject to a publication fee of ₱500 (local authors) or $10 (foreign authors).
    • This fee helps support the maintenance of the journal’s website, editing services, and official registration costs (ISSN and ISBN for print editions).
    • The journal is published quarterly, with occasional special issues dedicated to specific literary themes.
  7. Copyright & Rights:
    • Authors retain full copyright ownership of their works.
    • By submitting, authors grant Frontier Literary Journal the non-exclusive right to publish and archive their work in both online (ISSN) and print (ISBN) formats.
