I'm excited to be starting my 20th year of teaching (5th year at FT)! My previous 15 years were spent as the music teacher at Tomahawk Elementary! I was born and raised in Olathe and have so much pride in our district. I attended Washington Elementary, Mahaffie Elementary, Santa Fe Trail Junior High, and Olathe North High School. 

I graduated with my Bachelors in Music Education from Baker University, where I was also trained in Opera Performance. In addition, I have a Masters in Teaching and Learning from MidAmerica Nazarene University. 

My first job out of college was as the music teacher at Tomahawk Elementary and I spent 15 amazing years in that role. I also served as one of the District's General Music Facilitators during that time. I always said the only job that would pull me away from Tomahawk was to be the choir director at Frontier Trail-- and the stars just aligned.

I live in Olathe with my Husband, Justin, my 9th grade son, Noah, my 3rd grade daughter, Halle, and our fur children Olive and Penny. When I'm not teaching I enjoy singing at my church, reading, and hanging out with friends and family.
