Our marketing team is dedicated towards making a positive impact on our community by supporting local businesses and using resources from companies to pioneer the future. Through collaboration with businesses, both corporate and local, we aim to get resources and materials for competition, engineering materials, and different outreach activities.
Our team has learned a lot about business, marketing, design, and organization through our F1 in Schools journey. Through the F1 in Schools program, we have made a number of presentations, prospectuses, flyers, and portfolios to present to businesses that we seek sponsorships from. We have used professional graphic design software such as Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, and Canva to make our presentations stand out both visually and content wise. In addition, we have worked with different logo designing softwares and have done design thinking for color schemes and our logo. In order to learn these skills, the Trendsetters collaborated for weeks and did live calls, meetings, and continuous practice to fine tune their skills in these 3 softwares. In addition, they worked with art students from their school to work on logo drafts and different presentation formats.
Every week, our Trendsetters go out to different local businesses around Marietta to find potential sponsors and donors. Using our custom flyers and presentation, each of the Trendsetters would go to local businesses of their choice to see if there was interest for sponsorship and/or donations. This was easily one of the most difficult parts of the marketing experience for our team; cold calls and marketing in person is often a daunting task. For all marketing, you have to deal with a lot of failure; however, our team has not gotten discouraged along the way. At first, it was difficult for us to put our foot in the door as a start-up F1 in Schools Team. After a few trials, our team was ready to market and race into the future with out new sponsors.
Our sponsorships come with a multitude of benefits; our team has come up with a comprehensive sponsorship "tiers" chart which features different benefits for our sponsors based on the amount that each company gives us. Each tier helps businesses, no matter how large or small, promote themselves within our community.
Email us at: frontierracingf1@gmail.com for more detailed sponsorship benefits and other business inquiries.
To help spread the word about our sponsors, we have made sets of different merchandise such as wristbands, t-shirts, and lanyards to get more community involvement for Frontier Racing. Some of our sponsors are included on our t-shirts, websites, and marketing portfolio as a part of their sponsorship "tier".
Through the F1 in Schools journey, we have all learned how to become more resilient when marketing, designing, and doing things that are unknown to us. In addition, all of our presentation skills have become much better as we have presented to large companies, parents, and even school administration. The Trendsetters are ready to race into the future with our new design and marketing skills and help Frontier Racing attain international glory.
