I will walk you through how a yarn bomb, or fiber art installation, is a great way to engage with the community. From teaching people so they can participate, to hosting crafting circles, and beyond. Plus, the finished project is a wonderful way to bring recognition to the fiber arts in your town!

I will walk you through the basics to get started on your sweater making journey!
First, we will look at how to select a crochet pattern with the resources you need to be successful. Then we will explore the difference between instructions, color charts, and stitch charts for crochet + a bit on how to read each. Lastly, we will talk about making minor/minimal adjustments in garments based on your gauge for a better fit.
Bringing your own patterns for Q&A is encouraged! You will leave with links to resources and suggested patterns to try out as well.

A class to help you read Crochet charts of varying complexity.
I will walk you through how to identify the most commonly used stitches and ways to remember how to identify them, then we will break into small groups to explore charts that work in Rows, in the Round, and even complex Lace!

Description: Have you been itching to make one of the trendy hexi-cardigans, but wanted a bit of guidance to get started? Then this class is for you! Bring along your scrap yarn, a hook, and your smile and join me for a fun class!
Materials: Bits and bobs of yarn in the same weight (for example: all DK, or all Worsted) and a crochet hook suited for the weight of yarn that you bring.
Prior Knowledge:
Basic crochet stitches – chain and double crochet.
Preferred but not required – ability to start a project with magic circle, knowledge of how to make granny squares.
Class Cost: $40 per person
