Statement of objectives
This workshop aims to explore the transformative potential of Quantum Machine Learning (QML) in healthcare.
We will discuss the advancements in hybrid classical-quantum algorithms, the challenges of integrating these technologies into clinical workflows, and the ethical considerations to tackle in order to ensure their responsible development and implementation.
The workshop will provide a platform for sharing innovative research, case studies, and fostering discussions on future prospects in the field of quantum-enhanced AI applications in healthcare.
Intended audience
This workshop is designed for researchers, clinicians, engineers, and policymakers interested in the intersection of AI, quantum computing, and healthcare. Participants will include those with a background in machine learning, AI ethics, quantum physics, and medical informatics, looking to explore the latest technological advancements and their ethical implications.
Call for contributions
We invite researchers to submit both unpublished papers and previously published works that address various aspects of QML applied to healthcare. Each paper can be up to eight pages, including references, and will undergo a single-blind review process. The workshop calls for research contributions addressing, but not limited to, the following topics:
Quantum embedding and hybrid algorithms for medical image analysis.
QML applications across various stages of healthcare, including screening, diagnostics, and therapeutic interventions.
Operational challenges in integrating QML solutions within clinical workflows.
Ethical frameworks and guidelines to ensure trustworthiness and human-centered design of quantum healthcare technologies.
Advanced techniques for quantum feature mapping and error mitigation strategies to enhance the reliability and accuracy of quantum-driven processes.
